Shruti Hassan paired up with Emran Hashmi for Bhandarkar's First Comedy movie "Dil to bachcha hai ji".
"Shruti met me some months ago expressing her desire to work with me. I thought she would suit the part opposite Emran Hashmi perfectly," said Bhandarkar.
"Kamal-ji is a legend. And I can't say the thought of working with his daughter did not pass through my mind. However, I must add that Shruti is a very bright, pretty and talented girl. She's bound to go far" he added.
Shruti, debuted in Bollywood with "Luck" which did not help her career establish in Bollywood. She later composed music for few South Indian movies and is acting in a movie opposite to Sidharth.
